Mosa is an active, silly, and super sweet husky. She’ll cuddle you as much as she will challenge you during playing. She loves giving kisses, mostly because her youthful nibbles were turned into kisses. She likes to be aware of her surroundings and the perimeter of the room, yard, etc. She will stare you down - her future family will learn her stare downs (there is a few different types). She also really enjoys to nap for hours.

This tiny little munchkin is Elsa!
This little fluff ball has been through a lot for being so young, but has come a long way in a short amount of time. Elsa is very curious, playful, and full of zoomies. She is learning how fun it is to be a puppy with the help of the resident dogs. She would benefit from having a dog companion in her new home to show her the ropes! She is good with other dogs, but does tend to gravitate more towards males. She has shown a very high prey drive and should not be in a home with cats or other small animals.
She loves to take all the toys out of her toy basket, play fetch in the yard, and dip her toes in the pond. She is the quite the little cuddle-bug and will be happy to sleep in your lap while you watch movies.
Elsa is potty trained and she is working on her crate training, basic obedience, and overall confidence. Elsa will need an owner who is patient and willing to help her open up and show her the good life.

Meet Kojack, the husky heartthrob with the personality of a giant teddy bear. Kojack (Koji) is an absolute goofball and a lover of both humans and other dogs. He, overall, has a very well-rounded dog with a personality and demeanor that can’t be beat! Kojack is dog friendly! He does extremely well keeping up with other adult dogs, but is also gentle and patient with young puppies.
He has a mellow, laid back attitude and loves to just flop into your lap for a good cuddle. He is eager to learn for some delicious treats! He would love to be your co-pilot for car rides! He would love a home with an active owner because he loves to walk or hike with his person.
Kojack is housebroken, crate trained, and working on his basic obedience commands with his foster mom. While he has been taught to leave them alone, he would do best in a home without cats.

Bubbles is an all around fun loving pup! She is a Siberian husky puppy. She loves to play inside and outside during the day. She has done great with the resident dogs and would love to have a playmate at her forever home. She is already a little couch bean and loves to chew her toys while hanging out on the couch. She is working on some manners and will need some training but she has mastered crate training and potty training. She is very smart - she knows she needs to go to the door or ring the doggy bell to tell me she needs to be let out.
Want to enjoy some Bubbles this spring? Apply to adopt this sweet girl if you’re interested.

Showing off those baby blues and her adorable ear flop, Echo is sure to win your heart with her looks and sweetheart personality.
She is on the smaller side and takes full advantage by curling up into your lap for morning cuddles followed by silly zoomies! She loves to go on nature walks and does well on a long lead that allows her to explore the tall prairie grasses and swim and blow bubbles in the lake. She is
extremely food-driven and ready to learn for a yummy, meaty treat. She loves crunchy-crinkle toys, chasing sticks in the yard, and will even pick out her own bone at the pet store! She is extremely loyal, loving, and will seek the attention of everyone she meets.
Echo is crate trained and potty trained. She is currently working with a trainer on her basic obedience, leash walking, and socialization. Echo would do great with a confident owner who will continue training and show her the life she deserves.
While Echo has shown she can be friendly with other dogs, she would thrive in a home as an only dog. She much prefers all the attention be on her! And like most huskies, she has shown she has a strong prey-drive and would need to be in a home without cats or small animals.

Sky is a sweet young husky that came was sprung from animal control in Edwardsville IL. She is approximately 1-2 years of age. Sadly, Sky did not have the best start to her life and is believed to have come from an abusive situation. She is working to put on some pounds as she’s a bit malnourished; currently weighing about 39lbs.
This girl is your typical husky and would thrive with an experienced husky owner. She can be a bit of an escape artist when outside but she rather not spend much time outside. She would do best in a yard with a tall fence or out on a leash with her human. Though Sky would rather spend her time with her people in a nice cozy home! Sky is working on her crate training but once she goes inside, she will settle down. She is also working on her basic training skills such as sit, stay, and lay.
Sky, like many huskies, has a high prey drive and enjoys chases squirrels. She would do best in a home with no small animals (including no small dogs). She does well with dogs her own size or larger. Sky is overall a very calm husky with little burst of zoomies. She’s looking for a forever home that can show her the world isn’t so bad!

Thunder came to Forever Husky back in July and was sadly heartworm positive. Since coming to the rescue, Thunder has completed his HW treatment and is ready for his forever home.
You may notice that Thunder’s coloring changed from a bright amber to a copper deeper red! We like to think the change is reflective of the pawsome care he is finally receiving after being neglected. Due to lack of care, Thunder’s ears are missing the tips, most likely from fly bites.
Thunder is an overall chill husky that would do best in a home with other dogs. He is approximately 5 years old, dog friendly; but needs a bit of time to warm up. Thunder has not met any children, but due to signs of a high prey drive, it is best he goes to a home without cats or small animals. Thunder is pretty much housebroken, but can sometimes have an accident when too excited. Thunder is not a fan of being left alone or being made to stay in his crate. He would do best with a family who is frequently home. Thunder loves him some food and is very motivated by the thought of some yummy goodies that he becomes very excited and vocal when food is involved. Once Thunder warms up, you’ll have a new best friend and shadow!

Cupid - just like the mythological baby, came to the rescue as a little chunker who loves to stir up trouble. Cupid is a rambunctious husky mix puppy who has been enjoying his foster home with his litter-mates and foster siblings to play with. Cupid loves to give the big dogs kisses and play, but then he will find a toy to chew on and a place to lay down and chill while he chews.
Cupid likes exploring the yard and being outside. Like many puppies his age, he is learning how to go potty outside and some basic commands but his forever family will need to continue his training. Cupid also enjoys munching on baby carrots and frozen fruit to help with teething.
Cupid is a very sweet and friendly just and all around best boy! Can you make room in your family for a little love from this baby boy, Cupid?!

Meet Smokey! He’s a beautiful black and white male (neutered) Siberian Husky. Smokey was born on 7/9/21 and is a little over a year old. With that young age comes a lot of energy and this boy is high energy! He would benefit from having a yard to run around in and a playmate at home to wear him out. Smokey loves to play with his toys (and has a toy bin at his current foster home) but he definitely prefers another furry friend to roughhouse with. He is currently in a home with 3 other huskies, male and female; and does well with all of them. He is a mostly submissive male who’s very playful with other dogs and his humans. He does play-bite but is working on redirecting that behavior onto his toys. He loves children and enjoys running up and down the fence line with the neighbors children. Smokey does need to be in a home with no cats due to his high prey drive for smaller animals. Smokey is a self-entertainer but if he gets too bored, he does start to dig or counter surf. You know that old saying a tired Husky is a good Husky. Smokey just LOVES mud and good thing that when it comes to bath time, water and the dryer don’t seem to bother him at all; in fact, he loves the water!
Smokey has also been working on car rides and learning how to behave in a car. Though if he sees another dog passing by, he’s very tempted to jump on (or out) the window to go play. Smokey is also house and crate trained. He actually likes being in his crate and does really well when no one is home.
Smokey loves to be part of the family and cuddle up on the couch or bed with his family. Smokey would do best with an active home that has the time to burn his energy.

She is great with other dogs and young kids, inside she is the seemingly perfect dog, doesn’t chew things and lays around. However, she does NOT like to be confined. She will not do well in a crate or confined to one room but we’ve had zero problems leaving her out.
She can be quite the escape artist so she needs a yard with a taller fence that she cannot jump over as she loves to explore.
If you’re looking for a new best friend to take long walks with and enjoy her snuggles on the couch or in bed then she’ll be the perfect companion!

Sweet 8/9months old neutered male puppy. Crate trained/potty trained and doing well in a home with 3 other dogs. Very sweet with kids but because of his size and very playful can sometimes be a little tough with the little ones. Currently in a home with 4 children including a 2 year old. Young, playful and sweet boy.

Lilly is a fun loving playful 1 year old girl. She loves her toys and can keep busy on her own. However, Lily really loves it when her human plays with her. She knows to sit when offered a yummy treat! Once Lily feels she knows you, she will cuddle all day long sprawling out on your bed making it her own. Lily is picky about doggie friends and may need some help getting introduced and accompanied. A little patience, guidance and love is all silly Lily needs in a furever home.

Loki is a very mellow young man-just a tad shy and needs a little time to warm up but then he’s all fun. I love the water and would love a kiddie pool of my own! My foster mom says I’m a cuddle bug who loves to give kisses and snuggle on the bed. At the same time I also like to do zoomies in the back yard to burn off some of my energy! Are you looking for a running/walking buddy? I could be the perfect dog for you!! Fill out an application and ask to meet me!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kaya is back with Forever Husky. Kaya is a sweet older girl who would like to live with a husky experienced owner. Kaya has been abused because of her prior owners neglecting her and just tossing her around the place. She's not very fond of the vet office, much like the poking and prodding that we all feel at the doctors office. However, al that set aside she loves to play bow with you or another husky.

I have special needs, I was born blind.
Beautiful flower girl was born blind. She’s having some issues with her electrolytes but otherwise I have to say this girl is thriving. Her foster is in absolute awe of her strength and intelligence despite her struggles. Right now Flower is learning how to “dog” and now she is wrestling and playing with her siblings.. She learned her fosters house in TWO DAYS after arriving! She does well with her foster huskies and Pomeranians as well as the cat that lives there.
IF anyone is interested in donating you can go to www.foreverhusky.org and click the donate button on the main page.
Flower is a miracle! She was born blind and has Juvenile Cataracts, however it appears her eyes never fully developed so she will likely never have vision. I think sometimes she sees shadows but is not reactive when you put an arm/hand in front of her and she runs into things a lot, but once she knows it's there she seldom hits the same spot twice.
we are working on leash walking right now. I take her to the bus stop. She stops when she hears a noise I think she’s trying to figure out where it’s coming from and make sure she is not heading that direction. It's a work in progress. She is working on basic commands "sit", "paw", "down". She loves to play with other dogs and also kids. Those little puppy teeth are painful so we are working on some manners. She is doing well with potty training. She drinks a lot of water so she has puppy pads available to her (which she uses) but also does her business outside without issue. We are working toward teaching her to ask to go in and out but haven't quite gotten there yet.
Her other senses are strong and she is able to pick up verbal cues quickly "careful", "Step down", "hup"/"hop up", She is getting familiar with the word "NO!"

Levi came from Kentucky from a major hoarding situation with over 100+ huskies. Levi is vocal about what he wants, because he wants to be heard and given attention and because of this is not recommended for an apartment or condo. He is big sweet heart, likes to play and he already lets us know when he needs to go outside! He was with other huskies and would love to play with another one.

Our 9 year old niece has a nickname for Titus. She calls him Gentle Ben which fits him well. Titus may be a husky/malamute mix. He is mellow, wants to please and gets along with dogs and children and select cats. He has some separation anxiety and needs to be near his humans, but if he has other dog friends in the home he will do ok when his humans are away. He never stopped crying at the Kentucky animal control and quit eating. He is quiet as a doormouse now and eats well. He loves walks and does well on a leash. Is potty trained and does sit gives paw and stay. He would make a wonderful therapy dog.

Seafoam is known as Scarlet in her foster home currently. Unfortunately she has come back to our rescue because she just hasn't found the family fit for her. She is an extremely playful, high energy and loving girl. She lives with 4 young human boys ages 7 and under in her foster home but would do best with older kids. She loves to give hugs and can knock young kiddos down easily. She does well with other dogs as long as they tolerate her persistence to play and excited energy 24/7. She has separation anxiety and ideally cannot be left alone at home for longer than 3 hours. She starts to panic wondering when she’ll have human attention and kisses again. She is a permanent shadow to her foster mom and follows her EVERYWHERE! Scarlet is very treat and toy motivated, walks well on the leash and enjoys playing fetch outside. The girl has so much love to give and if you don't mind her on your lap, she’s most comfortable as close to you as possible. If you have the heart to share your bed and couch with her, she will be in heaven! However if you prefer some distance, she is very obedient and will be content on the floor under your feet. She just needs a little patience at first and can be sassy to test your limits but once she builds that trust, she’ll be your best friend.... more information coming soon.

Look at this brown puppy eyed beauty! Oreo is a high energy, fun loving, playful girl. She is two-years old with no sign of slowing down. She will be the first one to greet you with hugs and kisses when you get home. During the day Oreo loves to swim in the doggie pool and play with her other Husky friends! She is great with other dogs and kids making her a great family dog. Oreo is a compact ball of Husky beauty and loving energy in need of a caring furever home!

Finn and Nala came to the rescue as feral like puppies. They have not had any socialization or consistency as they were living outside without any human contact. While our foster parents are working diligently on getting to understand socialization skills, they will require someone with husky experience. One example is that they do not understand NO because they have never been taught what no means especially with puppy biting. Because of the puppy bitting, we do not recommend them with children under the age of 12.

This is a bad time for a husky (or any animal) to find themselves at a kill shelter. Especially one with a foot that was either injured and never addressed by a veterinarian or its possibly a birth defect. Either way the wonky foot certainly doesnt slow Bo down. Hes happy and very talkative.

Grace is a happy, playful girl who loves everyone. She and her blind foster sister hit it off immediately and play indoors and out. The older huskies in our home find Grace a bit annoying with her exuberance. Grace is extremely smart and needs an experienced dog owner. Grace loves to cuddle. She also loves to be petted and will gently give you paw if you stop. Grace would be an active dog and adventures with her forever family would be great. She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, potty trained and would be a good running companion. Grace loves children but should probably be with children 8 and above due to her level of activity. She would do very well in dog training class and enjoy the experience with her adopters. Grace is a super dog that is waiting for that special forever home. Is it yours?

Hank is a puppy who is full of energy and life. His owner felt for Hank's safety and well being a husky savvy home with room for the boy to run would give him the perfect life-and he does love to run. At his foster family's Hank's best friend and running mate is Bo. They get along incredibly. Ideally a home with no small children as mentioned Hank is a puppy and will most likely knock them down. With his energy he would make a great running companion and he also loves his snuggles.

As a typical husky puppy Uzi is FULL of energy and will need a spirited and active adopter. He is not recommended with small children as he does show the potential to knock them over. Cats are no as huskies by nature have a strong prey drive. Uzi will need a very special someone who has the patience to work thru the puppy stage. He is not yet house trained but we are working on it.

Coco
My life started off pretty RUFF. I have lived my entire life outside along with my siblings, but unfortunately they didnt make it.
Since my rescue, I have been living happily and comfortably inside a home! You wouldve never thought I lived outside until you saw my ears(flystrike). Which, the vet lady said it should clear up very nicely, but my hair may not grow back on my ears. But, Im still handsome!
The first week I arrived at my foster home, I got a bath, went to the vet, went on walks and dog park. Foster mom has been so impressed on how well behaved I have been with all of it.
I have been doing so good in the crate and I walk sorta nicely; I guess I need to stop pulling but Im so excited when I go on walks. My foster mom has been working with me on good behaviors and commands. I do play a little rough with smaller dogs but I think I just have to learn that I have to play nice.
If I sound like a perfect dog, which I am, apply! You wont regret it

I am a diamond in the rough. So sweet and so much potential. I just need to be polished a little and I will sparkle.

Extremely smart 7 month Zara. Shes an owner surrender so she needs time to warm up to new people and she needs time to trust. Loving and loyal once she find her favorite person in the family. Shes a typical husky who loves water and plays non stop with foster fur siblings. Shes most comfortable with adults and older children. Still working on her fear of smaller kids. Shed love a family of her own with another dog/dogs to play with to keep her busy and a nice fenced yard for her to be able to play through out the day. Whos ready to add sweet Zara to their family? ?

Meet King!!!! Kings previous owners had to surrender this 1.5 year old stud muffin. King is an amazing active companion! He loves to play fetch, tug of war, and go for long walks.
If you ask him to sit and shake he will reach out his paw to you for a handshake. Currently king is with a foster that has a fenced in yard but keeps him on a leash to play and go potty. He gets so excited when playing that he sometimes forgets his manners and jumps on you to give or throw him the toy. When king is around other dogs he does get along better with females and does have an alpha personality. If you are searching for a handsome, loving, active, playful companion King is the perfect fit for you. We also do not recommend you do children around him, as he still jumps out of excitement and may unintentionally knock them over.

Jasper is a typical husky puppy, hes very active, into everything and will require a ton of exercise. He was an abused puppy that we rescued, he is afraid of loud noses and new voices. He will run and hide in his crate until he feels comfortable enough to come out. He is fully of energy, and loves to steal laundry lol. He is very loving, friendly and playful !!!

Simon and his brother Sebastian came from a kill shelter in Kentucky. Simon loves playing in the yard with other huskies and is very food motivated with treats. Loves to get attention and sleeps upside down too. During his first few nights, like most huskies, they come in and howl or have some separation anxiety. This is one thing that after a week or two, he calms down and realizes that he is in his forever home and that your their to give him the best are that one can give.

Meet Beauty and the Beast, literally. These two are the sweetest huskies you will ever get to meet but also must be adopted together. The owners no longer cared for them and left them behind while neighbors tried to take care of them. Due to not being cared for properly, the Beast had so many knots and mats that he had to be trimmed down to remove all of his knots and mats. While both are huskies, Beast has a fur coat much like a Samoyed. Both love to play, give you kisses, cuddle but BE FOREWARNED they love to dig.

Wiz recently arrived at Forever Husky. We are still learning more about him and his litter mates. His mama is a husky and daddy appears to have been a golden retriever. While these puppies range from 35-45 lbs now, it would seem they will grow to be bigger huskies or goldens and thus far are very lovable... more information coming soon.

Definition of Mia from Husky-sters dictionary: Tiny ball of energy.
Don't let her size fool you she packs every bit of a big husky's personality, drive and voice into this small package. Mia loves giving side eye when you are talking to her as if to say ""really you are asking me to do that"".

Logan is a typical husky who bounces like a tigger when hes excited. He likes to try and get away with being mischievous so we do recommend a family that already has huskies. Logan requires lots of exercise so we recommended someone who is athletic or has a good size yard to work himself out.

Im Shilo! Im 2.5 years old, and I was rescued from China! I am a big boy at 78 pounds and Im tall. I might be malamute mix. I love kids that are a bit older, around 10. I like dogs that are my size or a little smaller. I definitely am not good around cats or smaller animals. I would prefer a fenced yard because I love to run, an active person or family would be good. I love to go camping and hiking, and play with my tug rope. I am great in the car. Blue- 5yr old boy, grey and white, purebred akc husky, I do have the certificate. He is not neutered. He is very sweet and loves to be pet on the belly, and loves to talk. He is house and crate trained but does occasionally mark his territory. He grew up with my daughter and were best friends but recently has lost his patience with her and has nipped a few times. He gets along well with other dogs. Unknown with cats
Kona- 3 yr old girl, brown husky. Spayed. She likes to cuddle sometimes, but also likes her space. She will let you know when she wants something. House and crate trained as well. She has always been territorial over her food and cage/space, we believe it was from the home we got her from and have been consistently working on it. She has been good with my daughter and not being aggressive/territorial toward her but has recently been toward other kids entering our home. She gets along well with other dogs, while in neutral space. Unknown with cats
Bonded pair of owner surrenders. Kona is the female red and white, Blu is the male gray and white. They are required to be adopted together into a home with no small children.

Nova is a playful, high energy 7 month old Husky. She enjoys playing all day. Nova will be a great match for someone who is active and enjoys the outdoors. Shes curious and excited about anything new. Nova has been in a foster home with three other dogs and 3 children ages 5-14. She plays well with other dogs and children but because of her spunk, she may not be a good fit for households with toddlers or infants.

Balto was rescued from Chicago Animal Control after his family left him there because they were moving. He has had a hard time adjusting to losing his family but is starting to come out of his funk. He likes to play with other dogs and loves his walks. Not recommended for small children. He is very curious about squirrels and cats so recommended not to be in a home with small animals. He loves his walks and loves treats! Help find Balto a home that will give him the love and attention he deserves in his golden years. Still a very active pup for his age and will give a family lots to love about him.

Pretty Willow is a huge goofball. You just never know what she will do next. (typical Husky) She gives you this look, stares at you, then decides okay, I am going to make you chase me or she will just sit there and wait to see what you do. One sudden move and off she goes. Her lucky adopter will have to keep up with this energetic girl. If you're the lucky adopter you will need to have patience while she warms up to you. It does take her awhile but once she does, look out! She will show you how smart, funny and lovable she is.
Her foster mom says, she is the smartest husky Ive ever been around, and this foster mom has fostered countless pups. Recently, Willow learned high five and roll over. Wonder what else this girl knows? We cant wait to see more! Because of Willows strong personality, she will not be good small dogs, cats or children under 12. She is selective of other dogs and ideally would be a single dog home. But dont let this deter you, Willow is one of a kind.

Max or Maximiliano what we like to call him sometimes is a beautiful active husky pup. Would be perfect for an outdoorsy family. He absolutely loves his walks and would be an ideal match for an active person who wants an outgoing and friendly companion. I want to say going outside is his favorite time of the day besides meals and treats. Does well with other dogs. Not sure about cats but he does have a high prey for squirrels and rabbits while on his walks and in the yard. Hes very vocal when he needs to go outside or wants something from you. Hes a big strong boy and sometimes doesnt realize how big he is. Hes a goofy, energetic bundle of enthusiasm and needs to join a family with adults &/or older children. He is currently in a foster home with children aged 5, 8, and 13.

My name is Rex. I arrived very timid but now, I am a social puppy who loves playing with my brother Lou and other doggies at the dog park. I love chewing on bones and playing with all sorts of toys. I am the best watch dog and like to protect my home from other animals. I am so well behaved at the dog park and like to run around. I am husky and Shar Pei but everyone thinks I am a German Shepard because of my beautiful white coat and bright green eyes. I am crate trained and potty trained. I also know the command sit. I weigh about 30 lbs but I am expected to get 40-50 lbs.

Bear is like a big teddy bear. He wants nothing more than to snuggle and be with his person. He loves his toys and carries them in his mouth softly crying to get you to play with him. Bear is well mannered but due to his size we hesitate to recommend small children as he could unintentionally knock them down. Are you our Chicago Bears new family?

I am 6 months old with a soft black coat with white markings. I love to cuddle and play. I get along with dogs I meet big and small. I love kids but would probably do best with older kids who have dog manners. I also like my quiet times to rest in my dog bed and prefer to be alone until its time to go outside. I sleep in my crate at nights and I am currently working on leash manners. Tricks I know so far are Sit.
